The weekend is OVER!

A real post- but a quickie!
Derek, the photographer, is coming in sometime this evening. He gets to stay with Paul and I this weekend! :) Boy will that be fun. Having Paul and Derek together could get interesting.. I think Mandie said we sold 47 coupons for our antique pictures, and we know we’ll have plenty of walk-ins since this weekend is also Community Days at the mall. I’m looking forward to seeing God bless us!
One way that God has blessed us is with a new worship place. We are no longer in the mall. Instead we are renting the most beautiful church I have ever seen in my life- inside and out, and get this.. for the same price as we were at the mall. :) Isn’t God amazing? Our first service was on Tuesday. Everything about the service was beautiful to me. I’m so very thankful! I’ll try and take lots of pictures on Sunday.
Last night Paul and I watched Disney’s Up. Wow! I had no idea what it was going to be like. I think I cried through the whole movie. But it was so good! I’ve never seen a kid’s movie that was tender hearted through almost the whole movie. That’s a keeper. :) If you haven’t watched it yet, you should watch it soon!
Well, I’m going to pour me a cup of joe and then I’m going to start working on this house. I don’t have much to do because my amazing husband had some time on his hands and got this place lookin’ great, but I still have some laundry and tidying here and there.

I'll be home for Christmas..
We can’t stop talking about how much fun we’re going to have with the family. It’s been way too long since we’ve seen everyone. I can’t believe it’s been a little over a year. I hate that! At least we’re getting to go though. Paul is stoked about eating at Chick-fil-a too. :) He has it all figured out I guess. He’s such a nut!
This weekend Derek will be flying in to take our antique pictures. Paul and I will be getting our pictures done too! If you want to see one in a pretty little Christmas card maybe you should send me your address. :) God has blessed our fundraiser and I know He will continue to bless us with lots of walk-ins!
Derek will be staying with Paul and I over the weekend so I only have a few days to make sure the house is presentable. Thankfully all that needs done is washing dishes and laundry. Not bad. Not bad. :)
God has been placing different women at work in my life that simply need a friend- even if it’s just for a shoulder to cry on. This morning I had a woman cry to me about her divorce and how badly she misses her kids. I did my best to be encouraging and even tell her that I’ll pray for her. She appreciated hearing that. Everywhere you turn there’s something that is craving love. I hope we all are willing to give it.

Not much to post about tonight. Today was one of those days where I was pretty much stressed. People weren’t in great moods, business meetings were stressful because of bad moods, I had extra work to do because of moody people.. long story. But I still love my job! :)
I think I need a bubble bath. That will make everything better. And chocolate. And coffee.

Home alone
Not tonight!
Though I wish Paul was with me, this quiet time isn’t so bad. I’ve been online, done laundry, watched an oldie but a goodie, and am getting ready to brew some coffee- yes, before bed.
I’m thankful for my heart and mind being filled with peace!

What part of Christ-like don’t you understand?
Are we Christ-like today?
Are our lives transparent and His light is shining through us?
It’s not just how we dress folks.
It’s the way we behave, our activities, and our speech.
John 8:12 says, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Who is in the darkness? Lost souls.
Who needs to win the lost souls? Christians!
How do you win lost souls? By going into the darkness with God’s light.
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
I have dreams of bringing people to church that I meet on the street- some look “normal” while others have piercings, some have tattoos, some look like the devil.. In my dream, I have people that are ashamed that I would even bring these “creatures” into God’s holy temple. I shouldn’t “hang out” with darkness. Instead of winning those souls that needed Jesus, they leave feeling worse than before they walked in.
Though that was only a dream I had, this really does happen.
STOP LOOKING ON THE OUTSIDE AND START LOOKING ON THE INSIDE WHERE IT COUNTS!!
Time is running short and there are still millions that are lost! It’s time to sacrifice some of our time and go out there and be what Jesus wants us to be!
The church is all about love, right? Well, let’s start flooding the world with it! All we need, all we want, is love. But where is it? Let’s start showing God’s love people. We don’t have much time left. Even if we have another thousand of years left it’s not enough time.
When people on the outside look inside our church doors, what do they see? They better see full-time Christians in there- not just ones that show up on Sunday.
People are suffering inside and outside the church. Let’s be more sensitive to people, shall we? Prayer is so important, but so is a loving tongue, a shoulder to cry on- just someone being there!
Let’s not act Christ-like anymore.. let’s BE Christ-like. Too many people have come and gone feeling let down one way or another. Enough is enough for me! I hope it is for you too.
I don’t know who all will read this, but this is something that has been strong on my heart for almost a year. Though I’m not the best with words I sure hope I got my point across. I see too many people suffering inside and outside the church and no one is around to comfort them like they should.
There are too many people out there that are inwardly craving God’s love.. it’s up to US to show it to them! EVERY SINGLE CREATURE.
